Americans get the Christmas Special on Christmas Day!!!!

Fucksocks!

I love that term, I thought I was the only person who used it though. Unless it's a referrence from somewhere and I have no idea where from!

There are some books I read with that term. Seeing it here immediately made me think of them.

I wish we had BBA in HD here, but our carrier is slow to roll it out. Maybe before series 6. Happy to hear the special is airing on Christmas Day though. :)

Yeah, but you can at least argue you take repeat viewings at your own risk. If the original is full length, that's at least a start.
not so much an issue in the UK, but I agree, the important thing is that BBC Am airs it uncut on its first airing.

^ No, they just mentioned it would be part of the 12 Days of SPACEmas again. It was cool seeing clips from new Who again. Can't wait!

I did see an advert on the Doctor Who Wiki that Space will be showing A Christmas Carol Christmas 2010 but that might just be a generic thing. I suspect that it will air here either on Christmas or Boxing Day. I still remember when we got the first Christmas special on Boxing Day on CBC!!! I went over to my friend's place to watch.

Since the Christmas special is airing in the UK and the US on Christmas Day and airing in Australia on Boxing Day, Space would be wise to air it one of those two days. Wait any longer and they risk losing viewers to alternate means.

^ I can still remember CBC waiting till the summer to air "The Runaway Bride" and not until midnight, a few hours after they aired "Smith and Jones"!

considering CBC put some co-production money in to the first series, I have to wonder what the hell went wrong.
