I was upset that Allison was let go. I like Chris, but he should have went home in her place. She is far better than that.

Adam Lambert is clearly going to win.
In my opinion, it should have been Allison. She had an amazing voice, just didn't pick all the best songs.
I am a big Zeppelin fan and Adam's rendition of Whole Lotta Love made me want to punch something.
The only reason he got this far is his looks. You can hear the little girls go crazy over him. The guy wears more make up than any girl does. He was born a ginger. You can see how much make up is caked on his face to make him look darker, it looks gross. He should have just left him skin alone. I'll bet that crap melts on his face under those lights.
I'm not saying he is a horrible, horrible singer (he did have a performance or two I enjoyed) but leaving the public to vote just means the girls will vote for who they think is hot as opposed to who can sing. It's no surprise that the final three are young, fairly good looking guys.

Honestly, I was annoyed that Danny got sent home. I've no investment in this now that Allison's gone, and if Adam wins that's okay, too, but I'm not so sure on Kris. He's alright and does have a decent voice, but Idol? No, I don't think so. I doubt he will do anywhere near the level of Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. I don't think his voice is versatile enough, but we'll see.

I like Kris, as he's the rare contestant who would probably put out a CD that I would actually buy. No, it's not the traditional Idol pop star stuff, but there's definitely a niche for acoustic guitar guy: Matt Nathanson, Howie Day, Jon McLaughlin, Jon Foreman, that sort of thing.
But Adam's going to win. (Given that he did that version of Ring of Fire with the sitar arrangement, though, I was wondering what it would be like if he'd done All Along the Watchtower for Rock Week.)

If Kris were any more Vanilla he'd be in the freezer section.
Danny should have done a Journey song during Rock week.
i'm putting my money on Kris Allen. (That guy is hot!) For tonight's finale, i think Adam did slightly better; Kris didn't feel comfortable with the last song and struggled a bit with the high notes. Overall, i can see Kris having a lot more appeal. i personally don't care for Adam's cabaret-style performance.

Just for those even mildly interested, Kris Allen won American Idol.
The only reason I found out was that I saw it on an early edition online news site.
Meh. This is probably my last year even watching the show. I didn't watch last year's and this year I only found a few people even remotely worth listening to, and so I think I'm done.

I was the opposite. I watched last year off and on. This year I did not watch at all, except for the last ten minutes of the finale because my Dad wanted to see who won.
I was so surprised that Kris Allen won but very happy and delighted he did!!!! I was also in shock cause I remember Simon Cowell saying that Adam would win over Kris. Usually he's right on the money about these kinds of things. But I'm extremely happy for Kris!! He's kick awesome!!!!
On a side note: I was listening to my favorite radio station this morning as I was running errands and whatnot,and some person wrote on a blog that the only reason that Kris Allen won was because of a bunch of redneck hippies from Arkansas voted for him.
It's not just the votes from AR, which was about 33 million, it was also the whole US who voted for him as well. And also, being redneck isn't all that bad..rednecks are not just in AR, they're in Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, and even in South Dakota! All I have to say to this person who wrote that is don't judge a book by it's cover. The whole state of Arkansas is not just a bunch of redneck hippies..there are also rich city slickers as well.

I watched the auditions, a couple of weeks of competition here and there, and wasn't too impressed with this year's contestants. When I saw the two-part finale, I actually liked Kris' and Adam's performances and thought they--above everyone else--both deserved to be in the Top 2, and I'm glad how things turned out. Seeing as how I liked Kris better, I'm glad that he won the title this season.
Adam didn't seem disappointed (in fact maybe even delighted) that Kris won...
I wonder if he's relieved that he doesn't haveto do as much "Idol" stuff as the winner, and can concentrate mor eonmusic he wants to do.
