AMC's Walking Dead Spin-Off Premise Revealed?

Why does this show exist? It feels SO unnecessary!

Hmm. We'll see. The family drama made me cringe, and none of the characters are leaping out at me. On the other hand, I like the idea of seeing the Zombie Apocalypse actually happen, sort of like the original Night of the Living Dead on a grander scale. Of course, once it actually happens, then you've got another Zombie Apocalypse TV that you've got to make distinctive-- which is not impossible, but going to be a challenge.

That looks WAY better than the description of the show.

Agreed. The idea of going back to the beginning of the outbreak didn't interest me much at first, but seeing the way it's being executed here suddenly has me a lot more excited.

Plus there's just something a lot more unnerving about seeing walkers in a normal everyday city versus out in the woods or countryside.
