AMC's Hell on Wheels, Season 4

I did notice one of the buildings in Cheyenne had a "Steam Laundry" sign over the front, but there was no one visible going in or out.

Apparently it was Season 3, episode 8, "It Happened in Boston", in case Mark wants to check it out via one of the perfectly legal means out there.

Thanks guys. my perfectly legal methods will likely find the episode.

As you all describe it, it sounds to me that (for now) there isn't THAT much need for Asian extras on the show; in that respect, it makes sense to take the existing actors whose hair can be braided instead of creating a show-quality wig or hair extension for the one day it'd be used. Since my day job is in the boardroom, I can't really be bothered to lengthen my hair!

Ah well, back to extra work as modern day IT computer guy or restaurant worker I go, to live in the hope that Jackie Chan will come back to Calgary (where he owned a home for a while) to film another sequel to Shanghai Noon. Or they write an episode featuring the West-East railway and will need a hundred or more extras for an establishing shot or something. I went tot he casting call at the beginning of summer, so you never know..

Are you saying that the HoW casting call you answered was earlier this summer? If so, I gather we're due for another appearance of Durant's West Coast rival this season....

Well, whaddya know...looks like Sydney wasn't such an episodic throwaway after all...would've thought they'd have gotten around to hanging him by now, though....

And I knew they were setting up Charlotte (?) for more.

If I were Mickey, I'd think about getting a shave...

Well lookee there, Psalms got himself a last name!

Jackson, if you haven't seen it. :p

Things are getting mighty interesting around town. Somebody's not walking away from this, and despite the show's track record, I doubt it'll be Bohannon....

I usually catch it on demand on Mondays. But I can't help peeking at y'alls spoilers.

Ah...well if you like little spoilers, one moment that had a surprising effect on me was hearing "The Swede" revert back to his original accent after he'd been impersonating Bishop Dutson for so long.

Also, looks like the episode is currently up on the official website: http://www.amctv.com/shows/hell-on-wheels

^that was cool. It was strange to hear him speak in his own voice.

And I loved the challenge: "Remember, I asked first, like a gentleman." Which is Cullen's version of, "Oh, it is ON."

I can't wait to see this play out.

I'd be interested to see if there will be. It was an open casting call, meaning anyone was welcome to sign up. Aside from me, they were naturally quite interested in all the First Nations people who showed up. The guy in front of me was asked his original tribal affiliation and he reported that, plus the other kinds of Indians he'd been an extra for over the years. Plus he kept his hair long. :P

Fascinating, thanks. The look matches what I was thinking, except slightly more mulletey, so it seems that's what they're after!

New episode....I saw Mickey's capture as being part of the plan, but does anyone else get the impression that Miss Ellison is trying to keep Campbell preoccupied, either as part of Cullen's plan or on her own initiative?

I also have to wonder where this is all going...they can kill as many of Campbell's men as they want, but he's still the federal government.

They'll probably try to force Campbell into concessions like not trying to take over the Railroad from them anymore. In exchange they'll abide by the rules he sets; It'll all be equal instead of Campbell trying to take over everything.

Oh yes, I certainly think Miss Ellison is up to something.

I LOVED the breakout--that was awesome. Can't wait to see how the dust settles. From the preview, I am worried that the boy at the church won't make it.

Or maybe they'll just render him toothless until they can just get the hell out of town and further away from his influence.

when the show was renewed for series 4 it was said to be for 13 episodes but i can't find any info on the final three episodes.

does this mean the order was cut back and this coming episode is the finale?

FWIW, IMDB has 13 episodes listed without descriptions for the last four, but titles for all but episode 11:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1699748/episodes?season=4&ref_=tt_eps_sn_4

The title for the season finale sounds promising.

So I'd been brushing up on some 145-year-old spoilers...the show has thus far progressed roughly in real time from 1865 to 1868...assuming that the Golden Spike would be the perfect point to end the series, does that mean we have one season left...?
