Spoilers Amazon's Good Omens mini-series

Plus, because of pacing and the structure of the mini-series, Gaiman wrote a lot of new material specifically for the mini-series, about a whole episode's worth (according to him).

Aaahhh, the end of the world. Also, a Reliant Robin. What could be a better harbinger than a Reliant Robin?

I do hope this comes out on blu-ray, or another streaming service somewhat quickly.

I'm sure it'll be out on blu-ray, but I doubt it'll be on another streaming service since it's an Amazon Studios production. That said, I'm sure you'll be able to at least rent it from Amazon without subscribing to Prime.

I had prime for a year and a half for The Grand Tour, but it was kinda stale and the money was needed elsewhere.

I only subscribe to Hulu now, so I reckon it's the blu-rays of this show I'll be waiting for, if I don't "rent".

It's an Amazon Studios/BBC Studios co-production (via BBC Two), but I'm not sure what that means in terms of international distribution.

In the US at least, you can't rent shows on Amazon, but you should be able to buy it eventually.
Oh, huh. That's surprising. I guess I never looked until after I became a Prime member.

Oh, that's right. Thank you for the correction.

Whatever the yearly cost is, it's likely worth it if you watch enough programs. I was there for one show, so it wasn't really worth it.

I know Doctor Who was available as a pay per episode deal. I might go that route for this show, I'm terrible at waiting.

Yeah, I understand that feeling. I largely joined Prime for the shipping benefits because I buy so much, so the access to shows and films was an added bonus. I do watch a fair number of original shows from them as well.

That sounds like a pretty run. I was thinking it was only going to be two or three episodes, and from what I've seen and read it sounded to complex for that short a number.

Less than a week before the end of the world and I, for one, am looking forward to it!

Here's a terrific interview with the man himself about the experience of writing the adaption and why it feels strangely more relevant now than it did 30 years ago.
