Spoilers Amazon's Good Omens mini-series

I think, even assuming they had, neither of those are big audience draws enough to make a protest worthwhile.
Neither of them pull from the bible in the way Good Omens does either.

One is tangential Gaiman I suppose (Lucifer was a sandman spin off wasn’t it?) and all owe a debt to Paradise Lost. I suspect some branches of the faith definitely confuse Middle Ages religious fiction with biblical truth though (probably including the much later Paradise Lost) and it would not surprise me if in some distant future, Good Omens itself is mistaken in a much similar fashion...not least as, like Harry Potter before and after it, it’s actually a pretty Christian work in its ending. (Surprisingly, unlike BSG, no one minds the god did it ending this time...)
There’s a nice dash of C S Lewis in there too.
Oh, they protested against Lucifer and groups of similar persuasion protested the Sandman comics way back when.

The Christian nuts are like Captain Redlegs in The outlaw Josey Wales- 'There ain't no end to doing right.'

Just finished watching it myself. Great casting, production, etc. Possibly the best thing I've seen since Orphan Black.

I'll agree with others, Sheen & Tennant could read the phone book to each other in character and be completely entertaining.

Tennant was very much being the Doctor a lot of the time, just with an evil edge.

All the characters were really fun, but very especially Michael McKean as Shadwell. What a Scottish nutcase. He really has come a long way since Lenny.

Anybody else get a Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy vibe, what with the narration and overall silliness? I think someone was a very big HHGTTG fan.

Gaiman and Pratchett were both Douglas Adams fans. One of Gaiman's first books, Don't Panic, was about Adams and H2G2. Good Omens, the book, reads a lot like a Douglas Adams novel, albeit one with footnotes for its narrative asides. :)

My mom and I finished watching the miniseries last night, and we both really enjoyed it. Neither of us read the book, so we came into it completely unaware of where things were going.
The whole cast was great, with David Tennant's Crowley and Micheal Sheen's Aziraphale as the big standouts, with Micheal McKean's Shadwell and Jon Hamm's Gabriel as pretty close second placers. They were all good, so it's just levels of goodness here. My only complaints were that I was hoping for more Benedict Cumberbatch, and I was a bit disappointed God was only the narrator, I'd was hoping we'd see her in person at some point.
The story was a lot of fun, with some pretty good twists and turns I didn't see come.
Pretty much all of the humor worked too, I could definitely see a lot of Terry Pratchett in it.
Is there a specific reason why some of the demons had animals on their heads? That seemed a bit random.

I think it’s disingenous to label ‘Christians’ as the defining aspect....really it’s American Christians, from a specific chunk in the Bible Belt.
Christians mostly probably like Good Omens for a start. (Various Christian review websites of both book and film have been complimentary)
But 21st century eh. What you gonna do.

I liked it! I never read the book, or heard of it, but I saw an ad for it and wanted to see David Tennant, he's never failed me yet. I liked all of the characters, though.

Two favorite parts were when Crowley threatens the other plants when he throws that little one into the garbage disposal and the whole scene with Agnes Nutter. Adultery is coming to town!

Oops, I meant to post that video yesterday. Great stuff. A slight shame it was audio only, but considering the awesome shaggy hair and beard look Sheen is sporting right now, it wouldn't work as a video so well.
