That Tricorder LCD screen is spectacular! Has this guy posted information anywhere on how he did it? Yes... he has a website with details. Apparently this Italian guy is quite an electronics whiz, who has converted an IROC Z into a true KITT replica. It doesn't appear he knows much English... which means it'd be tough to ask him any questions. 
He used an MP4 player as the means of providing the video and sounds. However, there's no mention of where he got those screen graphics. I don't know if he made them or found them somewhere. That's probably the toughest work, making those videos.
