Amazing poster for "Inception"

You can't say that this poster is aping the poster artwork for The Dark Knight anymore.

Fun fact: Guy Hendrix Dyas, who was the production designer on X2 and Superman Returns, is the production designer on this.

Sorry, dude, but I gotta' disagree. Terrible poster. I mean, I think the art of posters is kinda' dead most of the time, and as far as posters go, it's on par with most of what's out there. But most of what's out there sucks.

What are those heavily photoshopped people doing standing in the middle of the street? They're just like, hanging out, heavily posed from what seem like other promo photos. They're like cardboard cut-outs, awkwardly arranged with a bad sense of depth perception.

And it does still strangely have a Dark Knight vibe, though I'm not entirely sure what it is. It's the large cast list along the top, in what seems like the same font, perhaps.

I don't disagree with T'Baio's comments about the photoshopped people, but I love the image of the street that turns straight up, as though gravity changes direction in the distance.

The poster isn't really that great, but I think there's no doubt that the movie will. Just look at the frelling cast of this behemoth! And Nolan hasn't disappointed once. This will be huge and great.

It's a good poster I think. And while it is 'shopped, it is not done in your typical floating heads way.

It certainly would draw the attention of the generic moviegoer who happens to walk by it.

Since The Prestige was one of my favorite films of the last few years, I am certainly anticipating this film quite a bit.

I just want to make sure my opinion above isn't misunderstood, JA. While I have disagreed with you regarding the posters for the film, I do greatly anticipate the film and think/hope it's gonna' be incredible. It's definitely one of the ones I'm most looking forward to this summer.

It would be an excellent and intriguing poster without the people. Just the folding streetscape? That would be a beautiful and compelling poster. The people just completely ruin it.

Seriously, I think the posters look fantastic, and you don't. It's all good. At this point, even if the posters did look bad, this is a Christopher Nolan movie, so I'd be excited either way.
