Am I The Only One Who Will Be Disappointed If We Don't Get A Full Trailer?

They'll show us just enough to get the butthurt flowing. I want it to be 2007 and the first reveals from JJ's Star Trek all over again.

Except this time, we can be angry about both universes being ignored.
Both my childhoods!

If the same amount of energy used to compain about tv shows and movies was used to try and fix real world problems, this world would be such a nice place......

I mean, there's a real chance of fanboise interruptus here, isn't there? All day long people are getting excited about all the things we might see...

...and there's a chance that we're just going to see a couple of characters talking tensely on an underlit set. Or worse, on location!

In order to avoid an avalanche of online teeth-gnashing and tearing of garments, I think we at least need to see:

• A long shot of the ship;
• All of the major characters in costume;
  
• On the bridge;
• And the transporter room with transporter effect;
• Another long shot of the ship, firing phasers;
• And the Klingons;
• On the Klingon bridge;
• And a long shot of the Klingon ship;
  
• Firing phasers;
• Also weird aliens;
• With a lot of swelling orchestral music;
• And a narrator repeating that "Space The Final Frontier" jazz;
• Another long shot of the ship;
• A cameo by some character from an old Star Trek show;
• A really, really long shot with the camera flying around the ship;
  
• And Gene Roddenberry.

Otherwise, it sucks.

The marketing for this is horrible. I am actually more excited about Netflix's Lost in Space. It will be available all at once in late winter/early spring.
