Am I the only one who missed the Jan 17 (17/01) Disco Release Date Reference?

I just got that the release date for Disco season 2 is a reference to the arrival of the Discoprise after seeing a tweet with #countdownto1701. I can't be the only one this slow, am I?

HA! I was wondering why they not start the season closer to the beginning of the month, since you have to pay for the whole month anyway but didn't make that connection either. I'll be in the Agony Booth for 1701 minutes...

I won't lie. If I weren't living in the US, I would've picked up on it faster. I write out that day as 1/17/19, and that's how I think of it, not 17/01/2019. Then, when it was pointed out, I was like, "Oh, yeah!"

Funny thing is that for rest of the world that actually uses the DD/MM format the premiere date is 1801. So 1701 works only for USA (and Canada).

I thought I was slow when I figured it out in late October! I think there are a couple of other threads about it here too! ;-)

    Woah. That's clever.

I may have noticed if the UK date wasn't the 18th:lol:

Or for us in the United Statres, "117".

I wanted to say "0117", but I don't want to resurrect old arguments with member "The Wormhole"

I remember a few of us talking about that back before Halloween, but I haven't got a clue at the moment which thread it was in.

How much of the world uses MMDDYY versus DDMMYY?

Very clever. But like a poor marksman they keep missing the target.

Only if the target is located in North America.

Didn't notice that before. And now it's making me groan.

Although I should note I would have needed it pointed out to me anyway, since I just render January numerically as 1 rather than 01. Leading zeroes are the work of Abrams.
