Am i the only one missing the D Quadrant races from Treklit?

I'd to see the cured Vidiians too. I was always disappointed nothing more became of that than the quick reference in Think Tank.

Overall, I just think they were underused. Of Delta Quadrant races I want to see again, the Vidiians top my list in whatever shape they are in now. Even the "Alms for an ex-leper" angle has potential.

I'll add my voice to the chorus of Vidiian-fans. :) I'd like to see them again too. They were one of the most interesting races on Voyager.

Vidians get my vote as well, there are a few others I wouldn't mind seeing but can't remember off hand. I don't have every race or episode memorized, yet.

I was always disappointed that the Vaudwaar (from "Dragon's Teeth") never materialized into the new and dangerous threat they seemed set up to be.

Agreed, especally with Vaudwaar sounding so cool when you say it kind of slow & drawn out.

I remember the one race I was thinking of (thanks to mem alpha!) was the Caatati. Though not mentioned by name one or more showed up on DS9 in the back ground. Would have loved to see something explaining how & when they made it to the Alpha Quadrant.

I think that's reading a bit too much into the reuse of a makeup design for a background character. It certainly wasn't the only time the same makeup was used on both DS9 and VGR.

Anyway, think of all the other species there are in the Trek universe who look exactly like humans. Why should we be the only species that gets lookalikes?

I think it would be fun to check in on the planet from "Blink of an Eye". The inhabitants could be like the Q or like the Caelair themselves by now.

Now there's a thought...

Yes, I've often wondered why Voyager didn't simply hang around on the edge of the system for a couple of weeks and then use whatever trans-galactic instant portal system the natives came up with to return home. The answer to their prayers was probably due to be invented about an hour after Voyager left...

I didn't mean to imply that, simply stating that one appeared in DS9 (memtioned in mem alpha though I know that doesn't make it offical) & thought there would be an interresting story there about how a group of x-number of their species escaped the Borg.

Perhaps Voyager's crew figured that as soon as the planet's natives developed technology equivalent to theirs, which actually did happen, that the difference in time streams would become irrelevant - as soon as anyone leaves the planet, they become part of the normal flow of time, so there goes any advantage they might have had. They'd stop their accelerated evolution when they did that.

Or perhaps there were enough people on that planet who were bitter at Voyager for causing millennia of earthquakes, and so wouldn't help them any more than necessary?
