Hi everyone. Wanted to talk to you, I’ve had several beers today, I’m enjoying the holidays, hope you are too. I just responded to the thread if you could punch one cleleb. In the thread someone responded with Bush and being a Republican I had to put in Obama. I actually wouldn’t because I’m not a fan of violence, I responded to be contrary. I know 90% of everyone who posts here are Democrats and I expect to catch a little crap for how I think, been dealing with it all my life why change things now right?
I copied and pasted the Obama’s name from Google because I was too buzzed to too figure I’d get it right myself, then I make the unforgivable mistake of getting that wrong. I’m human, screw up. From that I get responses that bring into question my intelligence and things like it speak VOLUMES about me.
Are the posters here so judgmental that my simple mistake and the fact that I’m a Republican really make me such a seemingly horrible person? Sure I’m not a fan of what Bush has done but I’m still a Republican. My voice should still be heard. I thought Democrats were evolved tolerant kind forward thinking people. Will my very being be called into question because I’m different?
As a Republican Star Trek Fan should I fear speaking my mind when I know my thoughts are not the majority. Is this the kind of change you claim to bring? Why the hate? Was the Democratic message a lie to further some agenda I’m too thick to want to understand? I’m an American citizen and a fellow human. Does the fact I’m different mean I deserve derision and scorn. If I can't find the love here then where should I go?
In short, am I as horrible a person as some here seem to think? I want to embrace all no matter what beliefs, why won’t you embrace me?
