Alternate End Credits Sequence?

When I was a kid, I remember a S1/S2 episode having a very unusual background to its end credits. As sort of blueprint drawings on a rotating field, it showed the different technology of the original series vs. TNG. It was entirely blue, white and black.

Anybody else remember this?

No, that's news to me. I don't recall that. I saw every TNG episode first run, but it's possible I skipped the end credits every now and then.

Is it possible that you are thinking of a documentary on TNG that aired, possibly around that time, which used the same Goldsmith theme for its ending? Like maybe The Star Trek Saga: From One Generation To The Next (see the image)?

Not only is it possible.... but that's it! Holy crap! I haven't seen those images in 25 years!

But the only problem is...the version I found on YouTube doesn't have the closing credits. Doh. But that is exactly the right style and look. Well done
