I realise it woudl have made shooting scheduling a nightmare, but I always wished they'd gone with 'no beard' Riker for his transporter twin. Obviously, it's easily explained away, but just to make it really seem like we'd got a duplicate of pre-season 1 Riker rather than a duplicate created that morning before breakfast.

If you look closely at Tom, he has more hair on his face, specifically on his cheeks and below his lower lip. Wil's was better trimmed. I was disappointed that some of the action figures didn't depict that, but that's probably pretty geeky.
