Holy crap, that CG face work on this fan film is unreal. (There doesn't appear to be any information about its methods or source available yet.) Not a lot of onscreen talking, but most of the shots of Luke are completely convincing. I assume most of the AI contributions are facial deepfakes of an actual actor, and that a fair amount of filming was done, because I didn't see any of the weird morphing one sees all over entirely/primarily AI-generated imagery? Because if there was little to no filming done... damn. Not only did the face look incredible, but his hair was rock solid (in a good way). Wow.

Yeah, I have to wonder if the face was manually animated CGI, because it just seem to perfect to be AI. And the setting and rest of his body definitely look real.

Remember when The Mandalorian was saving Star Wars? Or when The Clone Wars season 7 was a masterpiece? Or when Rebels was the best Star Wars since Return of the Jedi? (OK, not enough people said that last part but they should have.)

Rian Johnson it is! JJ Abrams? Who else have the fan folk railed against for the last 10 years? Does Harrison Ford hate Star Wars enough to get the job?

You always want someone who will respect the franchise and what came before, who is also a qualified Producer/Writer/insert title.

Filoni is an accomplished producer who's been with LucasFilm for 20ish years. He may be a fanboy but he's also a professional.

Not bad, visually. The audio needs work though, it's not even close to the same level as the visuals. Lots of little things like the audio for the footsteps not matching the video, and odd sound effect choices.
