I think the show has damaged the universe in terms of quality. Beyond that, I think the quality of work produced in the Star Wars universe is poor. In general, I think animated Star Wars shows are better than live-action works.

Here's the thing, and I am not posting as an attack, because what I am about to say goes for many people on the forum, and the internet.
You have an opinion, and that's fine. I have them as well. But too many people walk around saying 'I think this about such, and that means I am right'.
None of the shows have damaged the universe. Only expanded it. Now, expansion always has many effects, some good, some bad. We build houses, that's awesome. And roads, we need them. Also has a negative influence on nature and wildlife. Kinda sucks.
The shows, by definition, weren't bad. They were all different. And people got different things from them. Some I enjoyed, others less. The ones I liked were disliked by others and vice versa. The shows have some fans to walk away from Star Wars. Others actually got to know Star Wars through these shows.
