They're all still there, including TAS.I hope they don't take them off Netflix.
Merged into the existing thread on the topic.A co worker told me about a network that is showing all the Star Trek series. Heroes and Icons. http://www.heroesandiconstv.com/shows/
you can see all the shows on this station, including all 5 Star Trek series.
This goes beyond ME TV which only shows Star Trek TOS on Sat evenings.
People have talked about this in further technical detail elsewhere on this forum (and I invite them to explain the process again). But basically the problem with Blu-ray remasters of DS9 is that they would have to redo all of the special effects from scratch. That would be a very expensive and time-consuming process, and apparently the TNG blu-ray remasters didn't sell all that well. So the incentive for CBS from a business perspective just isn't there. Unless people start buying the TNG blu-ray box sets, CBS doesn't have much to gain by giving DS9 or VOY the same treatment. That's not me saying "kowtow to your corporate masters," that's just the reality.another payment for the rights to air star trek and still no news of a ds9 remaster? grrrr.....
anyway, if you have tv, pls leave this channel on while ST is airing for high ratings to maximize our chances of ds9/voy blurays
Link please.^ that's not true! it was thought to be so for years - the original effects were lost, but I just saw an article from one of the original creators of ds9 and he said he still has all of the work he did on ds9 on his computer. he even upscaled one frame of it (in no time) just to prove how easy it was!
And even if what you're saying is true (and I would like to see where you're getting this), that still doesn't change the fact that sales of the TNG blu-ray remaster are poor, so CBS doesn't have a financial incentive to do a DS9 blu-ray remaster right now.^ that's not true! it was thought to be so for years - the original effects were lost, but I just saw an article from one of the original creators of ds9 and he said he still has all of the work he did on ds9 on his computer. he even upscaled one frame of it (in no time) just to prove how easy it was!

I believe I saw it on this forum first, like last week? anyway, damn, google is amazing.
Well, it's certainly news to me. Like I said, I think the only reason CBS isn't doing it right now is that they don't think they can make enough money off it to justify the expense, even at a lower cost with the assets. TNG, and I believe TOS, didn't have very high sales for their blu-ray collections. No demand, no supply, etc.The news is three years old now, and nothing has been done with those assets, even for promotional work. Eaglemoss I think is the only project to use the upscaled models for the models and magazine, but nothing more substantial.
