Coffee's Mysterious Benefits Mount

All these years of drinking 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day, I thought I was eventually going to kill myself or jump to warp. Maybe, if I was lucky, I'd pull a Fry; time would slow down for me.

However, it appears that coffee is what I suspected all along. Coffee, that wonderous black concoction... the greatest organic suspension ever devised... the best stuff around...

Coffee is, in fact, an elixir of life.

I knew it!

In fact, for most adults, coffee is the number one source of antioxidants, or chemicals that prevent cellular damage, according to a study funded by the American Cocoa Research Institute.

...

While antioxidants help to reduce cell damage and aging, scientists have yet to determine if they are the compounds responsible for coffee's weird -but wonderful- health benefits.
But... in all seriousness, I found this article to be very interesting about the benefits of the stuff known as 'Joe'.

So, come and drink a cup with me for I, as the reigning Coffee Goddess on the board (this title from nearly 5 years ago now), beseech you all to drink up and live a (potentially) longer life!

;)

I've been worshipping the Coffee Goddess for years, and I ain't stopping yet! I have to admit I like it best when she gets it on with Mistress Milk. Oh, my.

I thought all the bad press about coffee had stopped about 20 years ago.

I love coffee, but I try not to talk about it too much or you look like one of those people that start weird pissing contests about coffee.
The next person who comes into work saying "Don't talk to me till I've had my coffee" get a free double shot. To the head.

As long as no one mentions chickory, we're good.

Chickory is the bastard son of Coffee. I have nothing to do with that nonsense.

There was similar article on BBC News also, though in this they mention tea alongside coffee:):

Silly Brits drinking tea. You probably don't know this, but I, as the Coffee Goddess, do not accept tea as an acceptable substitute for Coffee. Therefore, it must be gone from this place!

tea:coffee as cats:dogs

Exactly

In nomine deae nostri coffea arabica excelsis!

In the name of Coffee, the queen of the world, the ruler of the universe, I command the forces of dark-roastness to bestow their infernal powers upon us!

I drink from the chalice of ecstasy, and bestow the blessings of Caffeine upon this congregation!

*Swills coffee*

I, as your Coffee Goddess, approve this.

I never managed to like coffee.

Me neither. It even distracts me sometimes from the tastiness of those silly sugary drinks like mochas and whatnot... usually.

Cappuccinos are okay... but just soooo sweet that I usually forgo anyway... :/

Where's the TrekBBS member with the line from Dune about spice but with coffee in place of the spice?

Something like this:

Terra, Earth, wasteland of the Federation and the most valuable planet in the universe because it is here, and only here, where coffee is found.

Coffee! -without it there is no commerce in the Federation, there is no civilization.

Terra, Earth, home of coffee -greatest treasure in the universe- and he who controls it controls our destiny.
Edited to add trekkieness.
