Aliens You Wanted to See More Of!

People,

I'm sure you've seen topics like this before, so I thought I'd make a new thread. Simply: Which alien characters would you have liked to see more of?

Two come to my mind. First, the unnamed race from TNG ep Allegiance that imitate Captain Picard and trap him and three others to study them. I saw those beings as curious but somewhat unfeeling antrhopologists.

I would've liked to see one of them become the first of their kind to enter Starfleet, to do a long field mission to understand the Federation by going native and joining one of its prominent organizations. They had some intriguing abilities.

Second, the Binars. A twin pair would have made for an interesting conjoined chief engineer or science officer, I think.

-Andorians (on 24th century shows)
-Tellarites (see above)
-Species 8472
-Vaudwaar (Delta Quadrant race)
-Voth (Delta Quadrant race that came from Earth before humans)
-Tzenkethi (mentioned but never seen)

Hirogen . . . all we saw were the Hunters. it would have been interesting to see a different side to the culture

El Aurians . . . we only ever saw Guinan and Soren as major El Aurian characters. their long lived race could make for some interesting stories

Andorians . . . saw quite a bit of them in ENT, but would have been cool to see more of them in TNG and DS9

-Orion Slave Girls (always liked sexy green women)

I'm with you on that one!

I would also liked to have seen more of the Tholians. They were interesting.

The Gorn. Proper, TOS style Gorn, not some CGI pseudo-raptor ENT types.

And as the OP says, the Binars have a lot of potential.

I definitely echo the sentiments in seeing more Orions, Andorians, and Tellarites in the 24th century. And I've always been intrigued with seeing more Tholians. The She'Liak were also intriguing, considering themselves some kind of "master race." On what basis did they make that claim, I wonder?

I had an idea about a sub-segment of Orions that would be shunned. As we've seen, the Orions are dimorphic, in that their males are much larger than their females, just as some species on Earth. But what if there were a small segment of their population where the dimorphism was the oppoosite -- some men small and with active pheromones, and some of the women huge amazon types. I always thought it would be interesting to see the first Orion female in Starfleet belonging to this mutated class, probably starting out in security.

Let me jump on the bandwagon for the Andorians (who became a well-known race amongst fans even though they didn't appear in TNG, Deltans, Tellarites, and the Hirogen. Each of them had a lot of potential, and I'm glad Enterprise gave the Andorians the exposure they deserved.

Read any of the SCE books? Not quite what you said here, but still pretty cool.

I'll add my vote to the contingent who would like to see more Tholians, and I'll also throw Kzinti, Caitians, and Edosians out there.

Andorians, Tellarites, Caitians, Triexians (or Edosians if you insist), Tzenkethi, Rigelians, Denebians, Grazerites, to name some.

The Horta! We don't often see non-humanoid races in Star Trek. Surely not all sentient beings in the universe look like us with the only apparant difference being the noses and foreheads.

The Bomar. I think they could have been really good in Take Me Out To The Holosuite:guffaw::rolleyes:

In addition to the TOS races mentioned like the Gorn and the Tholians I would have like to have seen a lot of the races who were more powerful than the Federation in the 23rd century updated and interacting with the federation in the 24th century. Races like the Melkotians, the First Federation, the Thasians, the rocks from the Savage Curtain, the Guardian. I doubt the Organians or the Metrons would have any interest in us yet though.
