Alien Speculation

Something struck my curiosity today, I was wondering if this is our chance to see real non-humanoid aliens in Star Trek. The only non-humanoid aliens I can think of are Q, Species 8427 and Tholians.

Has anyone have a confirmed report or speculation about the possibility of non-humanoid aliens in the new movie?

Yeah, that's kind of an "animal" though. I was thinking more along the lines of a sentient species. I do appreciate the replies though!

The Companion, the emotion eater on Day of the Dove, the alien from Obsession, the Horta all looked fairly non-human in appearance to me.

Security Officer K'Bentayr seems to be non-humanoid.

That crystal organism early on in TNG, on that terraforming planet.

I doubt there are going to be any in the film though, it's main spotlight is the relation between Kirk and Spock.
Although, we do know one thing about non-humanoids in nuTrek:
There is non-humanoid wildlife on Delta Vega (probably only ones in the film)
^That would have been in a spoiler, but it's not working for me. Besides, we see it in the trailer, not really a spoiler.
