Alien Cultures in Star Trek

I am someone really curious about the various alien cultures in Star Trek. But I wanna start off this thread with one of the most popular cultures in Star Trek and thats the Klingon Culture. I guess I will start off with a sort of easy question and that is how do fellow klingons if they do show each other a sign of respect? And do humans also have to do a similar thing to show they have respect for the klingon as well?
