"Alice" on Spike (Tom & B'Elanna ep)

Friday's pair included "Alice," which is such a great Tom & B'Elanna episode. I love the ending, where B'Elanna asks Tom how he feels about the Delta Flyer, and he insists they're just friends! Then they share a nice, solid embrace. It's an episode that helps develop their characters and relationship.

That chica who played Alice was so well cast; but I've never seen her before or since. Maybe others have, though. To me she looks a lot like a Mexican telenovela star, named Nora Salinas.

I liked that ep Alice as well. :) All in all, the episode was ok..a little strange but ok. And I liked the girl Alice as well..she was well cast. :)
Personally I liked "Drive" alot better..there was a race or something. And I think Tom and B'Ellana get married and there's a "Just Married" sign on the back of the Delta Flyer. How cute! :D

"Alice" was an interesting concept -- and just made for Tom Paris, adventurer and top gun. That part was not strange; but the part that was strange to me involved why Alice thought of a deadly particle fountain as "home."

What I figured was that some erstwhile owner had been so desperate to get rid of Alice that her programming was changed to home into the particle fountain.

To be honest, I never really cared for the episode. It seemed like Tom got more and more boring as the seasons progressed...

This episode provided one of the major motivations for Tom to put his wanderlust and flyboy days behind him and to get serious about his relationship with B'Elanna. He becomes more settled, but I think his relationship with B'Elanna gives him more depth and grounding.

Alice was played by Claire Rankin, who is probably best known around these parts as Kate Heightmeyer on Stargate Atlantis.
Hey, thanks; interesting! I thought somebody might know. Not a SG watcher yet.

I wonder why Alice wanted to go to the particle fountain in the first place. It destroyed her. Was that where she was created?

^ ^ I mentioned that question above, too; I thought maybe some erstwhile owner was desperate to destroy her and changed her programming to make her home into a deadly particle fountain. Really, no telling how old she was either; could have been roaming around the galaxy a long time.
