ALICE IN WONDERLAND teaser now online

Disney is on the hunt for removal. There went's Disney's only chance, for this consumer, to ever watch the trailer. I had little interested to begin with, but seing the removal for compyright complaining from them on YouTube, just killed it all.

I think IGN jumped their mark. Disney was trying to drum up interest via Facebook by saying that whichever character's "army" had the most fans on Facebook, the trailer would premiere there...

Oops. LOL

I caught the preview earlier (before it was removed) and I have to say... SCORE! This thing looks absolutely fantastic. I got goose bumps, I tell you, goose bumps! The book and it's sequel have always been a favorite of mine and Burton's visual style is almost perfect for it. I was also impressed with the mixing of the digital augmentations, CG characters and live action. I was afraid it might be overdone but visually everything looks and feels spot on.

Maybe I'm just a cynic, but this thing looked like any other Tim Burton movie. Wacky characters, trying to be epic, and the only surprise is it's not a christmas movie. The tone made it seem like one. I'll probably go see it, and there is a lot of time left, but I feel like I've seen it before.

I will say that Burton's tone is probably best-fit with AiWL.

But, damn, that guy needs to get some antidepressants or something. He's the poster-child for Efexxor.

Could you imagine Michael Bay and Tim Burton co-directing a movie? It'd be the first time you ever saw sad and depressed explosions.

"Sad and depressed"? In my opinion, most Tim Burton movies are whimsical and melancholic, certainly not "sad and depressed".

I certainly see how people might dislike his films. Or get bored with the similar tone and visual style.

But there's no one else who has a similar style, and in the last 25 years Burton has averaged one major film every 2 years. That's not an over kill for me.

I just watched the trailer on YouTube (do a search and a few hits come up...at least at the moment) and I cannot wait! This is going to be bloody brilliant.
