Baldwin is still responsible under the law, whether the gun was cold or not.
He was also negligent for not ensuring the gun was cold
He was also negligent for not ensuring the gun was cold
Absent a conviction, he literally is not responsible under the law. The case against him has been dismissed with prejudice, under the law.Baldwin is still responsible under the law, whether the gun was cold or not.

It's not his job to check the gun.Baldwin is still responsible under the law, whether the gun was cold or not.

Dick Cheney says hello.I bet if a republican had accidentally shot someone, everyone would be screaming for his blood.
Everyone who handles a gun should check whether it is loaded or not. It’s just basic gun safety.
I'm still happy he predicted Captain Ramius would do a Crazy Ivan at the bottom of the hour. Helped save two crews of submariners.
Respectfully disagree. I love Red October, it's easily the best of the Jack Ryan movies, but John Krasinski is "my Ryan." Although when reading the novels, I actually imagine Ryan speaking Chris Pine's voice. He'll always be the best Jack Ryan.
As someone who has actually worked on a film set, thats NOT how it works.........the armorer hands you a loaded weapon.....you swap it for the hero prop.....it IS LOADED.....just with blanks......you do not fuck with it.......you trust that person has done their job properly and you press on with the scene. You do not open the cylinder or pop out the clip to check the bullets.........Everyone who handles a gun should check whether it is loaded or not. It’s just basic gun safety.

Full disclosure, Krasinski is the only one I've never seen. I quite liked Pine though.Respectfully disagree. I love Red October, it's easily the best of the Jack Ryan movies, but John Krasinski is "my Ryan." Although when reading the novels, I actually imagine Ryan speaking Chris Pine's voice.
Oh, sorry. We should probably get back to debating whether Alec Baldwin should be held accountable for something he was already cleared of in court.
legally, Alec has no responsibility. But in an interview w/ CBS, the interview show a video of Geroge Clooney checking the gun in front of others at a set. It's not his job to check the gun.
The case was dismissed for procedural reasons not cleared of wrong doing. That the prosecutor fucked it up doesn't lessen my opinion of Baldwin or the armorer having responsibilities.Alec Baldwin should be held accountable for something he was already cleared of in court.
I absolutely agree that Baldwin did break the unwritten rule "always treat a weapon as though it's loaded."The bottom line is, no actors or anyone else for that matter, who rehearse a scene should pt. a gun to another person. Even if it's a prop gun. AT CNN there is an interview just after the above incident that even prop gun can kill people
