Alan Jackson's Chattahoochie - WTF is a hootchie coochie?

I've heard this song more times than I've cared too over the years and there's a line about how "way down yonder on the chattahoochie/it'd get hotter than a hoochie coochie" which always stands out. What the hell is a hoochie coochie? Any southerners know? Because the only definition I can think of isn't very wholesome.

"Hootchy-kootchy" (or a variant spelling) is old carnival slang for a sexy dance performance similar to a belly dance. Something for the grownups while the kids are playing the games and getting cotton candy.
