Air dates for new series in the UK

Bob The Skutter

Complete Arse Cleft
In Memoriam
With the start of Heroes season 4 last night I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread with the dates for new shows this year, and just update it as new seasons/series start.

Hustle
(series 6) - BBC One/HD started last Monday at 9pm but there's a repeat on BBC HD tonight at 11:30 or catch up on iPlayer

Heroes (season 4) - BBC Two/HD started last night at 10:10pm, there's a repeat on BBC Three tonight at 10:30 or catch up on iPlayer

Being Human (series 2) - BBC Three/HD tonight at 9:30pm/10:30pm

Survivors (series 2) - BBC One/HD Tuesday 12th 9pm

24 (season 8) - Sky 1 Sunday 29th Jan 9pm

Law & Order UK (series 2) - ITV 1/HD Monday 11th 9pm

Glee (Season 1) - E4 Monday 11th

Lost (season 6) - Sky 1 Friday 5th Feb (TBC)

Shameless (series 7) - Channel 4 Tuesday 26th Jan (TBC)

Vampire Diaries (Season 1) - ITV 2 Sunday 24th Jan 9pm

Lark Rise To Candleford
(series 3) - BBC One tonight 8PM

Rab C Nesbitt (series 9) - BBC Two Thursday 21st 9:30

I can't think of any others to add to the list, but anyone else feel free to add other shows and dates.

Christ on a stick why did they bring back Rab C Nesbitt, don't we get enough of the media's stereotypical Scot popping up on Jeremy kyle or Trisha every day with their drink/drug/drink/gambling/drink/had sex with a fish supper/drink ruined lives.....i swear these shows must send buses up here to roam the streets looking for these idiots on a daily basis.

At least i got one show out of all that to watch...Hustle.

^Not giving Being Human or Survivors a go? I liked both of their first series. Law & Order UK was something I was surprised I enjoyed. In fact I'll give almost everything on that list a go. 24, Lark Rise, and maybe Rab (depending on how good the first episode is) are the only exceptions.

The reason they brought Rab C Nesbitt back is because the 2008 Christmas special was quite popular.

I tried most of them but they were not for me, Law and order, tried to watch that but like CSI and its many incarnations i lost which was which and what episode i watched last, i was enjoying the Law and Order with the guy and the woman, and the guy was a bit like a cracker type cop, but last time i tuned in the woman was being played by somebody else and their chief who had a eye patch at one point had also disappeared and somebody else was in charge, so i did not know were i was with it, same with CSI the original, last i saw that Grissiom was having a affair with Sarah, CSI Miami, Horatio had just come back from being shot, CIS New York, some guy got shot with a cross bow, NCIS i was halfway though a season were Gibbs had come back to NCIS after leaving to go live on a island and build a boat.

So i just gave up on them....boxets is the way i go now for me now if i want to catch a series. LOL

Really looking forward to 24 and Lost. Heroes I've given up watching partway into season 4, after they did well regrabbing enthusiasm with the last half of season 3.

I want to catch up with Being Human - the first season fell under my radar but it looks quite good. I might also try Glee out but that has the potential to be very cheesy.

Is Shameless any good? I've managed to never watch an episode and didn't realise it was still going! I've heard it's popular. Nothing else is grabbing my attention though.

^Law & Order UK, it's made for ITV, there's only been 6 (or maybe 7) episodes aired...

Law and Order UK, just shows you how much TV i watch as i automatically assume anything Law and order is US based.

But its been well spent lost telly time, i almost have my platinum little big planet trophy.:techman:

Gave up on 24 a couple of years ago couldn't really care about it any more.
Heroes I gave up on after season 3, but I'm gonna give season 4 a go now it's airing here, judging from the first 2 episodes it might not last long.

Series 1 of Being Human has only just been repeated, so you should be able to watch it on iPlayer if you hurry.

I never gave Shameless much of a chance, saw 1 episode and thought it was stereotypical rubbish, but recently caught up with the first 5 series and really liked it. They're all on 4oD to watch.

Thanks for these dates Bob. Looking forward to seeing new Being Human tonight.

Any news when the new series of The Mentalist or Ashes to Ashes will be shown?

I'd think Ashes to Ashes would be late Sping/early Summer since it didn't start while April last year... I guess same would go for The Mentalist.

Oh, and one I forgot
Skins (series 4) - E4 Thursday 28th Jan

I missed the last ep of series one of law and order.
Did it end on a cliff hanger or can i just jump straight in to series two?

Sky 1 have the rights for Caprica, haven't seen anything more specific than February.

According to this Sky page (skip forward to image 3 of 17) Caprica starts Tue 26 Jan.

Also,

Dollhouse (season 2) continues from Tue 12 Jan, 9pm, Sci-fi Channel.

Sanctuary (season 2) continues from Mon 11 Jan, 10pm, ITV4.

That's a bit daft, the Caprica mini-site on Sky 1's site still says Feb.
