The entire 50-years or so after TUC is essentially a blank slate, you could drop the first season in there without having to change hardly anything but Sarek's age, dates and Klingon backstory dialog. This sounds like a better fit for Post-TUC. Say the same number of years later In-Universe as had passed in Real Life. So around 2317. The Empire has stagnated since the Khitomer Peace Conference. It's not what it used to be. A faction of the Klingons led by T'Kuvma wants to Make the Empire Great Again.
Using the cross badge with the medical whites started with the Kelvinverse movies, so any misinterpretation lies with them, Discovery is just guilty of being consistent with that production (I suppose with the exception of always having the medics in their whites).I do wonder if their use of a medical badge with the cross was actually a misinterpretation of the TOS uniforms...? It’s certainly not the symbol I would have picked.
lol, that happened to me - I skip honorifics now.But that apparently happens on planes IRL as well when someone booked as Dr [name].
What could have been eh...

I like Crusher in white, that looks good.
With regard to Geordie/engineering, I think a burnt orange might look a bit better than green - green seems more "biological".
