Agents of SHIELD: Season 3 - Discussion (SPOILERS LIKELY)

If it means we get a Phil Coulson/Peggy Carter team-up, I'm game.
Speaking of people who are going to be filming other shows for the fall (with Atwell starring in conviction), I think I saw that J August Richards had a show picked up for the fall too, so we can probably forget about seeing him as well.

Quite a few actors still do occasional guest roles even while they're regulars on another show, so we could still see him for an episode every and now then.

ABC announced that AOS season 4 will air at 10 o'clock in the fall.

It keeps getting later and later.
(still on Tuesdays though)

For some reason CTV here in Canada is splitting the Finale up. Its going to be Part 1, then Flash then Part 2.

SHIELD normally airs after Flash.

I though it was a satisfying but not exemplary finale. Felt a little repetitive and drug out with lots of running around corridors like an old fashioned Dr Who. And we're doing a base under siege story just a couple episodes after doing the exact same thing. And the passing around of the crucifix of doom was just silly.

The death ended up being the obvious one, which is just as well, as I didn't want to lose any of the others. The one scene I thought was really great was when Lincoln and Hive were just calmly sitting in the jet reflecting on their lives and sharing a moment together. I thought that was a great choice rather than Hive ranting and raving and killing Lincoln in spite. I loved that he was blase about dying and reflecting on Earth with admiration rather than hatred.

And... LMDs! Woo! Just please please please do not make a Grant Ward one. The actor needs to leave. It's done. The doctor said he was giving a body to the female computer voice anyway and it looked like a woman.

Not a bad season finale, except for the "being chased in their own base" again. That's something they need to avoid for at least a season. It's over. done. finished.

I liked the way they did that scene as well. A little different than how they usually play out.

During that '6 Months Later' bit, they should have had Ward as an agent chasing after Daisy alongside Coulson like it was season 1.

LMD Ward that is.

^It could be Maria Hill. I always liked Maria.

I was a little disappointed to see Lincoln go. I actually liked him, I tought he had potential. Oh well. Good finale though. When I saw Fitz putting on Mack's jacket right after Simmons revealed her plans for a romantic trip I almost screamed, but then all of them put on the same jacket. It was something.

As for nex season, I hope they get a new base. Something flashy. And some real Secret Warriors action would be nice. As for story, we potentially have Radcliffe and his LDM program, Blake and the Watchdogs, but I wouldn't mind Quinn and his gravitonium or Blizzard makeing a return.

I love how they kept moving around that jacket and necklace like it was some game of roulette. Good way to keep up the tension, not knowing where the ball will land.

Glad Ward is finally dead and gone. Total respect for the actor who's essentially played about a half dozen versions of him over the last few years from fake good guy Ward, to stone cold killer Ward, though creepy stalker Ward and cosmic super-villain Ward. His character has nowhere else to go now though and I really hope they don't bring him back after this...unless they have a *really* good story to tell with it. ;)

Appreciate that they gave Lincoln's exit some real meaning. Finally makes sense why they introduced his history as a reformed alcoholic. I didn't dislike his character as much as some people seemed to, but I knew he had to leave one way or the other for Daisy's character to progress.

The coda was a bit confusing. I get why Daisy might pull a Banner and walk away after what happened, but why are they so fixated on capturing her? The Accords? Did they intentionally botch the pick-up so they'd get reassigned?
I'm assuming her new look is just a disguise, at least I hope so. It doesn't suit her.
Who's the Director now? Is Fury back in a saddle? Hill? May?
Jumping ahead six months puts us close to the release to 'Doctor Strange' does it not? Though I can't see how the one could tie into the other.

So I wonder who's the LMD of? From what was said it sounds like it's going to be of someone we already know and the silhouette looked female. I thought it actually looked a bit like Daisy from the body type and the stance, but that doesn't make a huge amount of sense. Am I forgetting a female character they killed off? Drawing a blank.
