On an off-to-the-side note, has anyone tried their hand at building a "traditional" title credits sequence for Agents of SHIELD using either McCreary's "Coulson Ostinato" from the end credits, Alan Silvestri's "Helicarrier" from Avengers, or Henry Jackman's "Project Insight" from Winter Soldier?

In some ways, ABC Studios' habit of just cutting right to the chase putting the titles under the ongoing first act visuals is okay, but I do wonder what an old-style set of main title credits would look like.

I think you would have to be different having gone through that stuff. So I think he's reinventing himself and re-understanding himself as a person anyway, which is probably really necessary to taking in the new environment and figuring out what SHIELD ought to be in a way that it doesn't get rotten again.

So we go from having no SHIELD at all, with a director on the run, to a tiny Guerrilla SHIELD with Agent Coulson at its head, and maybe not in his own right head. That sounds fun. That sounds like an interesting Season 2.

Betting there was a likeness rights issue behind that. Remembering some of the stories about Trek comics, and today I was reading an interview with Jerry Ordway, where he spoke about the 1989 Bat-movie and how Keaton, Basinger, and Nicholson all had approval rights on the likenesses for the comics adaptation.

Besides...Lexus sponsorship of this particular giveaway?

A lot of websites reporting on Agents of SHIELD have yet to update the cast but you'd think Marvel.com would have.

Maybe they'll do it at comicon. The only real expectation I have is for B.J. Britt to become a regular. It's possible that Brett Dalton won't be, but I'm not even expecting that. My guess is they'll at least start him as a regular even if they cut back his screentime.
