The BBC of the 1960's had only one competitor, those days are over. Its still cheaper than Skys of this world. The BBC of today is not quite what it was in the 60s. I am seeing more and more British people that want to lose it and keep their money rather than pay for the BBC.
That does remind me, what does the Federation use for equivalent to modern telecommunications for the public?
Not all Brits hate the BBC, but I would not be surprise if its a generational thing. I don't see the BBC surviving the Millenial generation when they are grandparents. When the Baby Boomers die off the nostalgia for the BBC will die with them IMO.Well, the point is, the grass is always greener. I hate commercial TV and Brits hate the BBC, and we both envy each other's system. I'm just saying, be careful what you wish for.
