After Trek 11 replace TOS 1701 with prequel Enterprise

Heed this warning die-hard TNG fans. It is only a matter of time before they recast your show and some stranger puts his dick in the iconic art designs you love too. :)

This is the thing I've never understood about these arguments: I'm a pretty damn die-hard TNG fan, but this is supposed to make me quake in my boots....why? How would this inevitable reimagining take something away from the original? Will it sneak into my brain and silently steal my memories of the crew flying about in their Space Hilton (TM)?

Heck, seeing a fresh take on a series I love might be kind of nice, actually. I say bring it on.

I'm sorry, what was the warning again? :p

Hell, I remember the iffy CGI and model effects from the first two years of TNG. I love the show to death and it was an integral part of my adolescence and early adulthood, but if Mike Okuda and CBS/Paramount ever want to update the effects in some TNG episodes I say you're MORE than welcome to take a crack at it.

Careful how you wield that broad brush; it can easily be used against you in the same way.

And if there's one thing us old timers aren't afraid to do is yell from the highest rooftops, "WE TOLD YOU SO!!

But then again, the youngsters these days have no appreciation of history. I blame the touchy feely school system.

Actually, my brushes are quite narrow. I broke all the ones larger than 1.5" painting my house.

Then I guess I should be glad that Star Trek doesn't document real history. No worries, eh? :D

Says you. Personally, I'm scouting for a tall, lanky scientist with a severe alcohol problem to experiment with antimatter and faster-than-light travel.
