Aerial View of Possible Star Trek Sets in L.A.

Personally, I'm pretty sure if you stop the playback at 27.892 seconds, there's a single frame of Ricardo Montalban as Michael Jackson, but in a kangaroo costume. Named "Tim".
Tim is my favourite character. Instantly. As soon as I read that post. I want the whole shebang to be about Tim.

For he does rock.

That is all.

:D

That really does look like a model of the Enterprise!

But why is it standing outside?

Same object, slightly different angle. How is that an Enterprise model?

Well, you see, they carry this thing around with them on all their location shoots, so that in case any spy cams are around it gets in the shots too, and so it's the only thing the Trekkies talk about, and they ignore all the interesting aspects (if any) of what's seen.

---------------

Think logically for a moment. ILM is the MAIN provider of SFX for this film, they went All CG after Episode 3 - Why on Earth would a physical be built for this film AND why would it be kept on a LOCATION set?

We have another Face on Mars here people.

:( I tried to watch the video on Trekmovie.com, but the video has been removed. I then tried to watch it on YouTube, but the video was not loading. Does anyone have a link that still works?

Do news choppers buzz Hollywood sets that often? I'd be a little annoyed if I was JJ and company.

So...time portal? Or giant transporter pad? They shouldn't have left it out in the rain. :p

at first I thought it was enterprise but then remembered they don't have their deflector on the front, only the NX-01 enterprise did

So the classic crew visits Hoth in this movie? Finally that crossover movie we all have been dying for! ;)

It isn't. The "nacelles" aren't parallel, the "saucer" isn't saucer-shaped - I've just eaten a ham roll that looks more like the Enterprise than that.

To me, it looks like a segment of a TOS BSG Cylon Basestar. Could also be a quadrant of "under construction" Enterprise primary hull, too.

Could it be that all these sets are connected, the snow, the saucer, and that shuttle looking thing? We know that the crew wants to do second unit shots in Iceland, which could easily be dropped in behind the green screens. Perhaps this is some kind of crash site.
