Adverts on the BBC?

I'm not asking this to find out what anyone's opinion is on this matter.

I'm asking, because I can see some on the BBC News website, have done for a few weeks now. Being that I live in the UK, I pay the License Fee and I'm still getting iplayer, I shouldn't be seeing them.

So my question is, people in the UK, when you click on the BBC News Website, are you seeing adverts?

No adverts here...

Are you using a proxy or something to make it look like you're outside the UK?
Or you might have malware.

No, I'm not doing the former, the latter shouldn't be an issue, I have both Avast and Malwarebytes working in the background, so I'll run a virus check just to be 100% sure.

What browser are you using? Some browser add-on's can contain third-party advertising cookies and will randomly display ads on a website that doesn't have any advertising built into it's code.

something is up with your system. That is not the international version of the BBC website which does have adverts, something is adding adverts to the UK version.
