urbandk, or any other user who has seen it, we've been told that this movie features references to all the other shows. Is this true? I'm especially curious about any ENT references they might have thrown in.
Me confused - isn't it unusual to have a screening, for critics, this early before the release of a film?
Don't you want reviews to appear in the press the same week your film premiers?
Am I just hoped up on goof balls?
i've read several places that the embargo on reviews was lifted as of tonight.

There's at least one quasi-spoiler in one of the reviews concerning a relationship between 2 characters, unless you have already seen the Australian "Today Tonight" vid that also reveals this relationship: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOlP9Re7R7E

...and engineering is a bit WTF
Well the best way to describe it is that it's not very "starshippy". Most of the production design has all the familiar elements re-imagined, however engineering doesn't IMHO bear any resemblance to any engine room previously in Star Trek. It's a minor quibble, of which I only have a few of in terms of the Enterprise itself....and engineering is a bit WTF
I'm intrigued, can you elaborate?

I think the exterior has already been talked to death and I'm in agreeance with most. I think the secondary hull could be a little bigger (and slightly back) and the nacelles a little smaller (and further apart and back). In terms of the interior, I like the bridge, I simply would've prefered more variation in tones (less white) and the removal of the bar code scanners. I actually like the design itself. Sickbay was fine and the hallways were OK (again with the white). The transporter room was good.
I suppose the overall sense I got was that the designs were very good, but some aspects didn't form a cohesive whole that made it seem like they were all on the same ship. The bridge and hallways go well together, as did the transporter room and sickbay. Engineering was quite different.
What does it actually look like for instance?

hello..
maybe ask things like this in the review thread with spoilers since it can only be answered by people who have seen the whole movie.
it would be nice to limit this thread to just stuff revealed in the trailers.
please
