Add ONE scene

If you could have added one scene to an episode that you think could have made it better (that includes really good ones) ... what would you add?

Missing scenes are my passion.

"Observer Effect." Being with Archer in sickbay when Trip and Hoshi come back to life.

And there's that one I did for "Similitude" in the book.

'Fight or Flight' has the crew make peaceful first contact with the Axanar. That sort of thing is the very purpose of the mission, yet it occurs off screen and is merely mentioned as part of a captains log entry whilst we watch Hoshi re-home her pet slug.
Now watching Hoshi is always a good thing, but we really should have seen history being made.

In the Episode "North Star" I believe it was titled.

I would have loved a last scene of t-Pol chewing out Reed for shooting her.

I would have liked to see Archer first learn of the Xindi attack on earth.

I can't beleive they left that out! what a marvelous opportunity to show the high level of acting talent SB gave to Quantum Leap by showing him emoting through that and they missed it!

I think it would have been amazing.

I had the idea for this thread before I had an idea for a post of my own. :alienblush:

I would have liked a scene where Archer weighs the question of whether he should grant asylum to the cogenitor and in the process considers how he has conducted himself throughout the NX-01's mission. So many instances where he has stuck his nose in and how lucky he -- and the beneficiaries -- were that events turned out well when they could have gone so terribly wrong -- Fight or Flight, Andorian Incident, Detained, Marauders, The Communicator (tho' admittedly, we don't know what the long-term outcome of that first contact was).

Oh man -- just one?! That's a tough one. Maybe this one, but I reserve the right to come up with another one later:

After Archer wakes up in Twilight he tells her she'd make a wonderful nurse and settles in, T'Pol walks out and stops after she leaves as if she's remembered something. It would add some weirdness to their relationship, even if -- and I suggest nothing should -- happen of it

Somewhere, and I am not sure which episode, there should be a scene where humans and Xindi start a diplomatic relationship. Maybe hosted by the Vulcan’s since it is too early for the Xindi to be welcomed to Earth. This would probably have to be after the Vulcan trilogy.

In hatchery, in the sickbay T-Pol gives Trip a glance and then walks out of sickbay. Trip follows her.

I would like a scene that shows where they went and what happened

Wasn't explained in the episode and it has been nagging me for some time.

In Raijin, Trip tells T'Pol that people are gossiping about him coming to her quarters. He says that the other night, Malcolm told him to mend something with his 'magic fingers' (reference to the neuropressure). I would have liked to have seen that scene and Trips facial reactions to it.

Since e can do one scene per episdoe.

Unexpected. Trip and T-Pol a last scene.

Trip: You told everyone that I was pregnant.

T-Pol: I believed you crossed the line and should be punished.

Trip: captain is right you should be knocked on your Ass.

T-Pol: Try it and we will see who gets knocked on whose Ass.

End of scene, end of episode.

Trip and t-Pol nose to nose glaring at each other.

In TATV, they should have shown the Federation being signed instead of leaving just before it. They should also have played the federation anthem from "Take me out to the Holosuite" in that scene.

I came up with another one...

We should have had a scene in Broken Bow to drive home the roots of Archer's hatred of Vulcans (aka "show don't tell"). Here's why. The Vulcans are already a popular race with the fans and if we're going to understand why Archer hates and distrusts them...

I think we could have had a scene immediately after Archer learns he'll have Vulcan company for the BB mission.

We see a flashback to when he was a boy. We're "in the room" when Henry Archer dies. 12-year-old Jonny and his mother are present. Pages and pages of sketches of engines and formulae paper the walls of the room. A variety of engine models, come clearly abandoned before completion, sit on a work bench. After Henry is gone, Jon walks around the room, looking at his father's work, picking up the engines, imagining a space ship powered by his father's engine.

Soval arrives to pay his respects. Jon turns on him and screams at him to get out, it was his fault that Henry never saw his dream become real. He says he'll never forgive the Vulcans for what they did to his father.

I would like an additional scene in Judgment, explaining how Archer was captured by Klingons. This is one of few times I did feel something was missing in an episode to make it feel like a complete story.

A scene (not sure where - it would have to be after Bound) where Trip and T'Pol express that they are both committed to make their relationship work.
