Should the next film show us Rand, Chapel, and Kevin Riley?

We almost got to see Christine. We heard McCoy yelling for her. We really should get to see her in the next movie.

What about the others, tho'?

Rand? I say we have to see her.

I'd also like to see Riley too.

Come to think of it, there's nothing wrong with Mr. Kyle either.

Oh...

All right.

As the good TOS and New Voyages fan that I am, maybe DeSalle too, but he doesn't have to have a goatee. (Not unless the New Voyages actor is playing him. :D )

Seriously, now that we have the mains, shouldn't they throw us a bone and bring in the others we know too?

Re: Should the next film show us Rand, Chapel, and Kevin Riley?

Sure, why not. I wouldn't hope for more the ten to fifteen seconds of screen time each, but its not outside the real of possibility.

Re: Should the next film show us Rand, Chapel, and Kevin Riley?

No. Unless, it's a thowaway or material to the plot.

It's a movie, depicting largely a small cast, not a remake of a tv series.

Transporter Chief Kyle, too!

Hmm...how come they never had a regular Security Chief on TOS?

Would Kyle be the same Mr. Kyle I mentioned?

As for a Security Chief, maybe they did but that person kept dying and being replaced? :p

It IS a remake of a TV series, my friend. Face it.

Also, if we're going to dismiss characters, why not do the same with Uhura and Sulu?

They were often missing in episodes. Nichelle Nichols wasn't even in the final one.

If we can have the ones we've had, there's no harm in having others too.

Rand could even get Kirk some coffee or hand him a clipboard!!!

Re: What actors / characters / plots do you want to see in Star Trek X

Kristen Bell as Janice Rand? I say yess....

Re: What actors / characters / plots do you want to see in Star Trek X

Vin Diesel as a Starfleet Captain who gets his ass blown up in the first 7 minutes.

The Kzinti should be in a Trek sequel

I was just thinking, the cat-like Kzinti should be in a Trek sequel. Either as a main enemy or as a cameo. The Kzinti were first introduced to the Trek Universe in TAS “The Slaver Weapon” and were planned to appear in the 5th season of Enterprise. That is if Larry Niven doesn't object.

Then they should title the movie Star Trek 2: Imminent Box-Office Failure But Amazing Lolcats Fodder.

Re: The Kzinti should be in a Trek sequel

:techman:I mentioned that in a thread. I'd like to see them also.

RAMA

Re: The Kzinti should be in a Trek sequel

That would be real cool. I am sure Niven won't have a problem with the nice royalties he will get.

But I wonder what kind of feminist review the movie will get with female Kzinti not being sentient.

Except, he may currently have the "Ringworld" series of SF novels optioned as a movie, and thus we run into some juicy and expensive red tape.

:guffaw:Now they have to be used in the movie, just so I can read that review.

But seriously, good idea of having the Kzinti in Trek XII. They had depth and complexity.
