Problem I see with the Gorn and Tholians is that you couldn't get a actor to do it, you'd have to rely almost entirely on the SFX... and that could backfire badly. (although on the other hand, it could be awesome)

I would love to see Timothy Olyphant as a villain. I've loved his character in everything I've seen him in so far, Girl Next Door, Die Hard 4, Hitman...

This time, I would really love to see a bad guy with "teeth." I think an excellent baddies would be:

(I had trouble with the female actresses except Kate Blanchett, maybe others have better ideas? I figure the female baddie would try and seduce Kirk, which is why I tried to pick young "hot" chicks.)

Romulan: James Purefoy or Carla Gugino
Klingon: Cirian Hinds or Moon Bloodgood
Orion: The Rock or Meghan Fox
Evil humans: Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi or Kate Blanchett, Tricia Helfer

Number One: Claudia Black
Capt. April: Ben Browder (how can you have Black without Browder?)
Nurse Chapel: Felicity Day (seems kinda aww shucks and girl next door)

Dunno, but I'd like to see an actor of Eric Bana's quality in the role of the villain again for sure and I'm sure a lot more actors will be open to the role now. I wouldn't mind seeing The Rock in the film either, dunno why.

He was originally played by William Campbell (who also played Trelane). There's quite a resemblance.

Kane Steel, good choices for Nurse Chapel and Yeoman Rand. However, those are "secondary" characters, and it would be kind of a waste to cast someone like Kristen Bell for a minor role (unless it turned out to be a major role in the next film).

Kristen Bell isn't that big of an actress.

She's a TV actress who's trying to break into movies; like Quinto.

If anything, she's on the same level as Cho, Pegg and some of the others and Janice was just as important a secondary character as Sulu and the rest, before the writers eliminated her.

She was eliminated because they didnt want Kirk to have a regular love interest in TOS.
