Act 2 of STOGAM this Saturday, Early Reviews Coming In.

Just an FYI, we will be releasing Star Trek Of Gods and Men Act 2 this Saturday, March 15th at 1701 hours (5:01 EDT). We have been letting some press do early reviews of the film. If you run a Star Trek site that covers Fans films and want to do an early review PM me.

Just finished watching part 2. It's alot of fun, with all the actors doing a great job...though I think I enjoy watching Chase Masterson in that Orion outfit a bit TOO much.

The cool thing is seeing Harriman as a guy who actually CAN captain a starship, not some guy who's just there to show that Kirk has the bigger set.

Nicely done, can't wait for part 3.

I get the feeling that Alan Ruck has been waiting to act like this for 15 years now. Who knew Harriman had a pair?

One thing I didn't buy, though, is Charlie Evans' abrupt change of heart. I suspect he's faking it though.

Speaking of which: Who is this "[something] Prime" they kept talking about? It seemed like he was the leader of the Galactic Order, and that he and Harriman didn't get along. Is this person supposed to be Charlie?

I just finished watching it and it was very good. I enjoyed it much more than I did part 1 and I thought part 1 was pretty good. The inclusion of an Andorian was a nice treat for me.

I am looking forward to part 3 in the (hopefully) near future?

Why would Spock destroy his own homeworld?
He was mentioned in Part 1 as being a part of the group wanting Vulcan to leave the Galactic Order.

I think this is either this timeline's version of Charlie Evans or Gary Mitchell. Both had similar powers, and both were corrupted by them to the point where they wanted to achieve godhood.

As far as the "original" Charlie Evans goes, perhaps now that he's experienced what went on in the last 70 years without Kirk, he realized he was wrong in killing Kirk's Mom because the absence of Kirk allowed the Federation to be taken over by the Galactic Order.

Perhaps Curate Prime is Kirk's father, grieving and near-insane over his wife's murder.

Wow, I thought Part 1 was okay, but Part 2 really is GREAT! I don't give a damn about the special effects, which I thought were fine enough for the story. The acting was superb by everyone, and I am really looking forward to seeing how this concludes.

Act 2 was great! Maybe its because I grew up with 60s Trek and Dr Who, but the SFX don't bother me at all. The story, characters and acting are what's keeping me watching. I can't wait for the conclusion!

Another thing:

How long are these links going to be operative? Some of us might want to watch STOGAM more than once. Are the links going to be up 'forever', or are they going to be taken down after a certain time?

And I realize that a commercial DVD release would be out of the question for obvious reasons, but might it be possible to offer a free download (of the program *and* some DVD covers) so we can burn our own?

I'm not sure about the preview links, but the "real" release will be this afternoon. That will be good for at least the next whatever (months at least). Them's what spent all of the money on this endeavor don't want to make it available for download right now. That might change. It might not. The future, she is tricky, no?

Actually, this part was even easier to download than the first part was. Was given a choice of several different resolutions too. Burned a DVD and enjoyed it on my TV. I think it's ridiculous to try to stop people from downloading these.
