Act 2 of STOGAM this Saturday, Early Reviews Coming In.

Really? I am having considerable difficulties getting it to play. Maybe I should just download it. Where's the link to do so?

I recorded Part 2 with the Real Player and it came out perfectly. Any idea how to convert that into a DVD that can be watched on TV?

I'm still waiting to find out what the story is with the Seven of Nine-type girl ... just what is that thing over her eye? It's connected to some sort of ear piece by a wire.

Actually, this part was even easier to download than the first part was. Was given a choice of several different resolutions too. Burned a DVD and enjoyed it on my TV. I think it's ridiculous to try to stop people from downloading these.

How did you get that? Whenever I visit any of these links, all I can do is watch. No option to download exists anywhere on the page.

I don't think you can. Best I can do is let it stream until the bar is full up and watch it without interruption.

I let the thing stream til it was full and tried to watch it three times this morning. It would get about ten minutes in and suddenly stop. None of the controls responded, couldn't start over, and even clicking "refresh" on my browser did nothing.

Loved every second of it, amazing effects, amazing performances. can't wait for part 3

I thought this was an excellent piece. It's a real pity it has to be split up, as watched together it should be a real treat and prevent much of the confusion that was heard when part 1 was released.

Wow! this made up for part one in spades. Part II has blown away any other fan film I have seen. I would say it is even better then a lot of the professional Trek productions in terms of script and acting. They got some really great performances form the main cast. I am looking forward to part III.

I realize there must be a ton of people watching part 2, but it's a little frustrating having to wait in such a long line. There's no loading going on at all for me, despite the modem lights blinking furiously for over an hour. I've tried 3 times, and despite the modem activity, nothing happens no matter how long I wait with the browser left open...
Please let there be a direct download made avaiable in the near future. :(

To download, simply:
- view source, and look for the xml file reference
- load the xml file into your browser
- you'll see direct download links to several different flash files at varying resolutions, take your choice

I'm trying View Source right now. All I see is a page full of gibberish, I can't tell which of this bunch of text is the actual file.

Finally got it working. So far, story-wise its much more accessible than the first part, but some it is also a bit over the top. I'll get my final verdict later tonight after I see it all.

EDIT: Never mind. Four minutes before the damn thing ends and it froze again. This dragonfly thing is a real, real pain in the ass.

Incredible work! I absolutely LOVED Part II!! I then went back and watched Part I and II together; Part I now makes much more sense. The actors' performances also make more sense now.

Nichols and Koenig were incredibly impressive in Part II!! Makes one wish there had been another TOS movie or mini-series after TUC/Generations focussed on these "secondary characters." Nichols and Koenig add depth to their original characters, while also enfusing their "alternate characters" with passion, realism, and strength. Their performances should dispel some of the criticisms that I have read on here that they are only "secondary actors" who cannot carry a production.

Alan Ruck and the rest of the cast also provided solid performances. Garrett Wang was even watchable, although his acting range really is very limited (probably explains why poor Harry Kim didn't get promoted to more interesting duties during Voyager's seven year journey in the Delta Quadrant.)

I am eagerly anticipating Act III. I suspect that Charlie will intervene to save our heroes.

I am also wondering who this Curate Prime (sp?) is...

On the technical side, I had NO problems downloading or viewing both parts. There was no delay whatsoever, and the visual and audio quality were high.

Congratulation and thanks to all involved.

Let's get to the major issue that everyone has been pussyfooting around: Couldn't they have spent a little money on a better wig for poor Walter?

It's one of several areas in which this production, which is easily the most expensive video ever produced as a so-called "fan film," lets down reasonable and simple expectations.

A lot of people worked hard on this show, and some did really good work. Nonetheless, while Part II is an improvement over Part I OGAM certainly does not "raise the bar" for fan films as one review elsewhere asserted. If one wanted to get into such evaluations, the "New Voyages" episode "Worlds Enough And Time" would be a much stronger claimant to such an accomplishment - among other things its tech values are, over all, much better than the first two parts of OGAM. IMAO.

About 12 or 13 minutes into part 2 the camera pans up as Harriman gets out of his chair. and I think I see the wood rafters above the set. Kind of broke the mood for me for a moment.
Other than that, excellent.

The video has been so stuttery on my computer it's unwatchable. I'll admit it's an older machine, but I was able to watch part 1 without a problem. I've closed out of everything except my browser. This site is really a pain. Why can't they provide download links?

Speaking of which: Who is this "[something] Prime" they kept talking about? It seemed like he was the leader of the Galactic Order, and that he and Harriman didn't get along. Is this person supposed to be Charlie?

The "Curate Prime?"

Khan Noonian Singh would be a good guess. ;)

I still can't get part 2 to play. Part 1 worked fine last night, so I have no clue what the problem could be. Either there's that big of a crush by milllions to watch it, or something freaky is happening. :(
