I just call it Star Trek. I don't know what the "nu" means, other than a mispelling of "new" and I don't like it anyway...TNG might as well be called "new trek" too since it wasn't TOS. What's the difference?
I cast my vote for Abramsverse. It sets a bad example for kids to see words spelled incorrectly. If you wanted to call it NewTrek then things might be different but it's to late to bring in a third title option. When I eventually make the thread 'Did Kirk's penis inflate like his fingers after the injection" I want the kids to be proud there reading it in a forum that suports proper spelling.

I don't like nuTrek, but it's convenient and quick. I suspect over time it will die out and simply become Star Trek.
The Abramsverse is no good, since it's highly unlikely he will be managing it forever. Hell, he might not even direct the next movie, for all we know.
I stand corrected.Actually, in some countries "The Future Begins" was used as an official subtitle. Just not officially in the U.S.
We haven't even got a proper name yet for the Berman era, other than the "Berman era".
After consideration I suggest Star Trek-that-was-good-for-quite-a-while-but-peaked-in-the-mid-nineties-and-went-up-its-own-ass-outstayed-its-welcome-and-by-the-end-was-pretty-tired.
