Abrams is stealing my memory!

Last night J.J. Abrams, a.k.a. 'The Ruinator', snuck into my house and stole my Star Trek DVDs. I'm not the type to wear a tinfoil hat (at least not on some Sundays), but I think he also stole my memory.

After watching the teaser, I knew something sinister was up. Aside from the blatent canon contradictions with previous Star Trek teasers, (I'm still waiting for that final journey to begin) it may have contained some sort of hypnotic command that made me forget things.

For example, I can't remember what the original TOS Enterprise looked like! I can't remember my mother's face either, but the important thing is: I suspect Abrams is trying to do something 'new' with TOS.

I first suspected this when I heard that the budget would be $150 million. That sounds like a lot of 'change' to me. Now if they'd done this for 5 million in someone's garage using recycled scenes and effects from the original series, THAT would've been a huge relief. As long as they didn't use scenes from any of the 40 or so sub-par episodes. No sir.

And it's not just memory, I think he stole my childhood and possibly a gallon of milk from the fridge. And I was really looking forward to that milk. :( I can't bear think what he's doing to my childhood, or where he's taken it.

But he said that if I want it back I should go to a theater on DEC 25 with ten bucks. And not to come alone. I'm mulling my options, because it sounds like a trap. This is just the sort of thing that always happens when they don't hire me to direct the next Trek movie.

Has J.J. 'Doesn't know the color of the Vulcan sky' Abrams done this to anyone else? What should we do?

I vote for lengthy debate. Okay, so Abrams is stealing Star Trek DVDs and eliminating our memory of the earlier shows and movies. He may also be involved in anti-Trek criminal activity worldwide, probably via the 'Kill All Trekkies!' think-tank in Bad Robot. Okay, so that trophy mount he has in his office reserved for the head of William Shatner is a little creepy, but he's not in the movie so it's no big deal.

You see, it's still possible he'll give us a good film. Or at least inject those of us fortunate enough to survive with enough hallucinogenic drugs that we're convinced that whatever it is we're seeing on the screen is good. So I haven't ruled him out yet.

Let me know if you need a good attorney, ancient.

We'll get you those memories back, plus interest.

Thank you.

Also, who can I sue if I get addicted to memorys?

Sorry, I thought you said mammaries.

Now, that's a class action suit I could get behind. (With a certified class of about 3 billion people.)

Abrams is part Vulcan ?
He mind-melded with you and made you forget all 40 some odd years of Star Trek ?

Too true.. if JJ can erase Spock's Brain from my memory I would be forever grateful! ;)

I love that 0% of respondants have chosen "resist."

Clearly, we're all either Abrams cultists... or we've learned over the years that "resistance is futile".

I'm sorry, ancient, but I'm going to have to go with the free flame while it's still, well, free. Moron. :p

I think we better gather up $10 while we still can. I know my childhood is safe because I missed the TOS generation, but I shudder to think what he'll do to everyone else's if we don't pay the man. You have my sympanthy, and I hope your childhood returns as innocent as it was when that monster took it. :(

Oh, and sorry about the milk... I was thirsty last night.

Why does everyone say its their childhood thats being destroyed, it will always be the same. Its FUTURE memories you should be worrying about.

Milk you say?

He took that to prevent your stolen memories being triggered by familiar Trek items.

Did he leave you Shoes?

If so then alway wear a pair, preferably high heeled ankle boots.

And cling on (get it) to every scrap of Trek memory you have left.
