ABC "might" pick-up King of the Hill..

That is interesting. It would be the reverse almost of when the Critic moved to FOX from ABC.

They should just let it wrap up and run it's course. 13 seasons wasn't that bad. It wouldn't be a good fit over on Adult swim either. It would be wasted on Adult swim.

I just want an ending. I'm assuming that the show has already wrapped and they aren't making any new episodes at the moment.

They take a long time for the episodes to air, it will be May 2010 before Fox runs out of episodes.

I think it would be smart if they are serious about sitcoms. Have a Scrubs spinoff, Sam Who, KotH, and some others. Plus CANCEL ACCORDING TO JIM ALREADY!!!

First they pick up Scrubs and now they might pick up King of the Hill? Why wasn't ABC doing this when Arrested Development was canceled?

ABC Studios makes Scrubs, so it's sort of like they're paying themselves money for a semi-hit show.

There was a rumour that it would be, then SHowtime, then HBO.

Then nothing came from any of it. :)

Yeah I remember there was some talk of ABC, but the main rumors seemed to be that Showtime would pick it up (to the point it was even in an episode of the show).

They are supposedly working on a Arrested Development movie though. Suppopsedly they are even working on a script as of this year.
As for King of the Hill, I'm not gonna be to worked up either way, if it gets more episodes I'll be happy, but on the other hand it has had a good run.

Dataholmes, why do you feel that way about animated series?

There is nothing wrong with a popular series getting a film after it's end on TV.

Two reasons. After the fifth, they turn to mostly crap. Two they never advance. I really like the way they do it with anime like Dragon Ball Z or Gundam wing (The two examples I can pull out of my mind) where the story is advanced in the next "series", set in the same world with new charecters usually connected to the ones of the one before it.

I think that makes sense.

 I never said there was. I loved, Arrested Development and I eagerly await word on the move, and I will probably be in line the day it opens. And also own the first Stargate and Futurama DVD movies (I only own the first ones because I was broke when the second ones came out).

With regards to Arrested Development, I believe that one of the head honchos on the show said he was no longer interested in doing the show, and thats when it died for tv

Now, as for King of the Hill, it would be a great fit. We have seen a few instances of canceled shows doing great on other networks (JAG is the first one to come to my mind).

Personally, I would love to see new King of the Hill on Fox go on against newer King of the Hill on ABC :D

you joke but that almost happened over here.

There was chat show on ITV 1 called "The Paul O Grady Show" presented by (you guessed it) former Lily Savage actor, Paul O Grady, the show was a hit, but Paul feel out with ITV, and moved to C4.

So C4 kicked started "The New Paul O Grady Show" in its old time slot (5pm) and ITV1 only go & schedule repeats of "The Paul O Grady Show" in the same time slot, needless to say "The New Paul O Grady Show" on C4 kicked "The Paul O Grady Show" on ITV 1, and ITV moved on to something else.
