I'd like to see a biography of Gene R but I think if you mentioned his various affairs and casting couch activities it would distract from the story. But if you mention how wonderful his 2nd marriage was then you'd have to describe his extramarital activities to be realistic.I doubt a Sorkin script could survive the casting couch, or the white washing of the casting couch.
Seems like a fair assessment to me. The more I learn about Roddenberry, the less I like him.Gene seems to me to be a person with a few sprinkles of absolute brilliance dancing around within so much problematic stuff.

This, 100% this. You know what would be nice: a DC Fontana biopic. Secretary to Story Editor to Showrunner during the Mad Men-era of television producing? Sounds like riveting, groundbreaking stuff. Sorkin might not be the best man for that job, though.
But DC Fontana was a lady! A gender Sorkin writes extremely well if the story calls for it!You know what would be nice: a DC Fontana biopic.
