A Who-related song

It took me four listens to this (from the album Thirteen which I recently bought) to realize it was a song about Doctor Who. But it is! (Confirmed by the website.)

There's a Firefly song on the same album, and a couple related to Greek mythology. Plus some that are good but not genre-related.

With a tool in hand and a gleeful grin,
You open the door and you let me in!
Wherever you go that's where I'll be,
Companion to the man who holds the key!
You're the universe's own child at play,
You take my hand, and you take me
You take me away!

Nah, I wouldn't start a thread for that one. :)

Upon reading further about the development of the song, they say that it's nominally about Rose, but the lyrics are chosen to apply pretty much equally to anyone who's ever had someone very special in their life.

In reference to another song on the album about Inara:
For those studying at home: "Companion" is the song about The Doctorhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_(Doctor_Who), and "Apprentice"http://vixyandtony.com/lyrics_apprentice.html is the song about the Companionhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inara_Serra#Inara_Serra. That's going to be on the test.

WOW! "Mal's Song" is AWESOME on that album! I am being brought to tears here in a good way, seriiously, holy wow this is good.

Oh yeah, the Doctor Who songs are good too :D

When the singer mentioned "the wolf at the door" I wish she'd called it the bad wolf at the door. :p
