Oh come of your high horse. The whole straight-face delivery of that post just made it sound really funny. Then again it might have all been scathing irony.
It wasn't my intention to hurt his feelings or ridicule him and he has my apologies if I made him feel bad. However, maybe he is also able to see how his comment might be viewed in a humorous way.
Some valid points regarding his post, but they really don't excuse yours. It's good you didn't mean to ridicule him, but your could have delivered that far differently and still gotten your point across. But what do I know... being on a high horse and all?

It would have been infinitely more preferable if Voyager had stumbled onto a spatial anomaly or a strange, powerful race that somehow got them home (not without difficulty, of course), instead of using the tired time travel plot to rescue them from the Delta Quadrant.
It just seemed like a cheap fix to me.

Things aren't right or wrong, they're just preferences.
But lets make a change that will effect countless lives just so we can get home 16 years or so earlier. In a way they behaved with only regard to themselves, so what if we changed the course of others lives. . As Starfleet officers they are supposed to put others before themselves.

The Suspiria plot was set up in case they decided to wrap up the show. That they used it up so fast shows that even the Showrunners more or less realized the "Lost Ship" storyline was never going to go anywhere.
