Merry Christmas Eve! We haven't yet begun any festivities, and it's going to be very low-key this year anyway. But the snow fell this morning, and I'm about to go play with "my" kids next door. Their Mom already has a couple choice bottles, I understand

But lord, my mother keeps leaving sweets out in the open for me. Damn her.

I needed to escape to share the horrifyingly hilarious story that will forever be associated with this Christmas.

My parents celebrated their 25th anniversary this summer, and took a trip to Tahiti for it. Had a fabulous time, are always taking about it, etc. etc.

So my dad got my Mom one of those LCD photo frames and asked my brother to upload some photos on it of the family and from their trip. He hands my brother a disc with some Tahiti photos. Brother pops it in the computer...and sees some X-rated things. He pops it back out, tracks down my dad and says "wrong disc".

And then, needing to commiserate with his only sibling, he tracked me down at my neighbors' house where I was visiting. He told us the story, and while Mrs. Neighbor is laughing her ass off, Mr. Neighbor just goes and gets us a couple beers.

It's going to be an interesting night over here, since it's just my brother, my parents and myself this evening!

Someone pass me some scotch. The only way I'm going to survive the Giggle Loop is if I'm good and liquored up.

Yep. Hence last night's heavier-than-usual drinking. Particularly by my underage brother. Poor thing's scarred for life. He couldn't look at my mother the rest of the evening. Total Oedipal complex.
