A suit and flip flops????

TheLonelySquire

Vice Admiral
So I'm watching the local newscast while typing my last post and what do I see? The weatherman wearing a very nice suit and tie. Then, they pan back for the group discussion and you can see he's wearing flip flops! What is the deal with that????

^ Maybe he just had surgery on an ingrown toenail or something? Because although ours is an increasingly casual world, flip-flops and a suit on a man just ain't normal. I expect the cameras weren't supposed to show his feet.

I doubt they were supposed to show them, it's probably really hot in the studio.

Hope he ain't got teh stinkfootz.

He was clearly a stiff who was placed in a coffin on board a commercial airliner that later crashed, and was then resurrected. His owner probably didn't even have any tennis shoes to give him.

;)

Yeah, his feet weren't supposed to be seen. Sometimes anchors behind desks wear shorts. It's only the stuff on TV that matters.

I want to show him what a cold front really is.

I mean, of course it wasn't meant to appear on TV, but really, is it more effort or hassle to put a pair of shoes on than a pair of flip-flops. I'd just feel weird wearing flip-flops with a suit.

Mind you, I could see a casual linen suit, paired with an open-collar blue or white button-down shirt, working with a nice pair of flip-flop-esque leather sandals. Could be pretty cool, in fact.

He's an unreconstructed surfer-dude... Nah, I'm of the prevailing opinion that his feet were meant to stay out of shot.

Even if they weren't supposed to be seen on screen I still wouldn't wear that together, just so the other people in the studio didn't see me in such a state!
