The man could envision anything he wanted, while in the Nexus, & what's he envision? a wife & family, enjoying holiday

There's even the possibility that, according to the finale, he will quite possibly marry Beverly Crusher

One of the best examples of how deferential Picard can be to a woman he cares about is "Times Arrow" watch how tenderly he treats Guinan in those two episodes.

Good points. Plus, look at how gingerly he handles the whole situation in "Liaisons", when he realizes that the woman on the planet is falling in love with him. He does everything possible to avoid hurting her feelings

since you missed the obvious train, let me break it down for you. why ask a question that has already been answered numerous times and quite obvious what the answer is? hence using the bussard collectors as an example.

thing with speculation is that it works well with unknowns. speculating about established things is not really much about speculation. it becomes more of a fantasy or reimagining. like asking if air is blue, if water is wet, if 1+1 =2. sure you can put whatever answer you want after those questions, but the fact remains that there already is an answer. not much speculation needed. reimagining, sure, elaboration, sure, maybe even side facts.

I thought it was implied that Picard was going to be spending his Off time there with Anij. I think it was about 3 or 4 months worth of time he had to take.
