A Monday Puzzler: "Beloved Aunt"

Not sure my brain can cope with trying to think of a different answer! I was amazed I'd got that one, even if it is wrong.

When do you share the secret?

I don't mind brain teasers, but when I can't even figure out the question being asked, they lose all of their fun.

That's actually quite ironic, but then again I would find it ironic as I know what the question is (as do the 2 people so far who have solved the puzzle correctly).

Let's just put it this way: you're going to be even more disappointed with the answer. ;)

My problem, too. I don't even know where to begin or what I'm supposed to do. I'm just seeing a string of numbers.

I'll leave this open until Friday evening-ish, by the way, as some of you are having more trouble than necessary with it. ;)

I mean, these puzzles can't all be maths problems or wordplay posers, can they? - things would just get stale quickly. Sometimes a little lateral thinking and utilising what you know is all you need. (Incidentally, this IS a wordplay poser.)

And that's all the vague clues I can give right now. To say any more is to pretty much show you the answer, and I'd rather you all tried to work it out for yourselves. :)

Puzzlers should also be fun and have logical clues.

Not just:

525907851-184-=12895-=85=-185=-1841\

]53q900391=4-931`2faj;egvau-0`=290\3o0=23-51t87=
Guess the answer!

Actually, since it's Zion's puzzle it can be whatever he wants. If you don't like it, don't try it. Make your own puzzle thread.

Ranting at Zion that his puzzle is somehow invalid is ludicrious, especially since two people have solved it.

Same. I'm curious what the answer is, but I've got no interest in trying to figure this one out.

Well, I'd like to know how they solved. I've looked at the numbers, I've said them outloud, I've tried saying "what the number is" (94 tredecillion...), i've tried to see if the numbers shapes "form letters" between them, the only thing I've not tried is an alpha-numeric replacement which is impossible to do without spaces.

I just don't know where to start, what I'm supposed to do or anything. I'm just seeing... numbers.

It's a perfectly logical puzzle. You just need to think around the problem a bit.

One of the recent Misc. weekend fixtures has been missing from our lives this weekend... so until we wait patiently for it to reappear, here's a puzzle for you. As always, do NOT post your answer in this thread: instead, PM it to me.

As it's my first one, I've made it extremely easy just to break you in gently.

Below is the puzzle. Read carefully, and good luck!

94280360968043804309680685847590749029064631

73630630968702679370270206862370290774828306377243066591

Your puzzle would have been much easier to guess correctly using a universal truth if the first line had read:

942803609680438043096806858475907490290738361

:p

(I trust that counts as adequate proof I've solved it without needing to PM you ;) )

Then you need to think harder. But not too hard, as a few here who did get the answer right have already thought the solution was too easy. ;)

This is the aim of the puzzle - trying to figure out what to do with what you've got, seeing if it makes logical sense, and making a reasoned estimate of what it could mean and how to proceed further. I can't spoon-feed the working for you.

And once you do find out the solution, there is a chance you could kick yourself. ;)

Indeed. :guffaw:

Go on, then - submit your answer and I will see if you are right or not.
