^ Yeah, I should also start working out again. :)

Anyway...did I mention I watched Starsky and Hutch yesterday? Ugh...that was so bad. I don't know if some one you liked it, but I was just bored to death. Oh well...I think I might watch Stargate (the movie) tomorrow cos I haven't seen it in a while.

^You're on a comedy roll, eh? Well, I was ignoring Starsky & Hutch since it was first advertised. Glad to see I'm not missing anything.

I was wondering if anyone around here saw Girl Next Door. I didn't like Kim in 24 until the end of the 2nd season, but I thought Elisha Cuthbert could play a better role if given a chance. I thought she could've done justice to Sue Storm in the upcoming Fantastic 4 movie, but oh well. I like Jessica Alba too, so no big loss ;)

^ I most certainly will, kev! It is really hard to commit to working out and eating right...but I've done pretty well this past week! Hopefully, I can keep it up, cus I really need to get into decent shape.

I guess it's just one of those "one day at a time" things...

Glad everyone is watching Atlantis. :) Actually, I'm pretty excited about it. It's about time we had a new show that had some potential...and that was likely to be kept on the air longer than...oh...say....3 weeks by the impatient network execs.

Sort of, I did also watch Hellboy and Walking Tall. :) So I guess that's two actions flicks and two comedies. :)

Honestly, out of those four movies (Hellboy, Walking Tall, Starsky and Hutch, The Girl Next Door), I liked The Girl Next Door by far the most. It was just...fun. And like I said, I cannot stand Kim, but I thought Elisha was great in this. She managed to pull off the role, without looking ridiculous.

I definately I am watching the show. I can't wait to see more of it and I'm actually really excited about it. Like you said, it's nice to know that the execs are at least gonna give the show a chance. :)

Just got back from seeing Spidey 2 for the second time. Even better this time around, though it had an amusing hitch at the beginning. The movie didn't start on time, and so after about 10-15 minutes of waiting patiently and expectantly, someone finally got up to inform the staff of the situation. And the manager, or someone in charge, came in the theater and started handing out free movie passes, apologizing for the inconvenience! :) So, maybe I'll use the pass to catch Bourne this weekend, or maybe save it for The Village.

Well, I'm WAY behind. I just saw Master and Commander. I'm sorry, but this movie bored me to tears. Even if I didn't loathe Russell Crowe, and in spite of my love for Paul Bettamy, I was rolling my eyes and checking the clock throughout the movie. The story was just BORING. It was an excuse to put Patrick O'Brian on screen with cool special effects. Well, if his books are as boring as the movie was, I don't plan to ever bother reading them.

On the other hand, I've been watching Alias for the first time over the last several weeks. This show alternately thrills me and drives me nuts. I just finished the second season - there are only two so far, right? - and I thought I was going to be sick during the big fight scenes near the end from tension and emotion. (Well, between yelling "Buffy and Faith!" at the screen during the big fight. ;)) You know, Will really annoyed me in the beginning. When his veil finally fell, he actually became interesting to me. And while I appreciate Allison dramatically, I MISS FRANCEY. Let's see, ummm, Marshall still mostly is annoying, though he's beginning to have his moments: "Hi, I'm Marshall Flinkman, and I'm here to rescue you." Hee. And the last couple episodes, a couple scenes with Carrie. And PONG. But other than that, most of the time I just want to smack him.

Getting a little annoyed by the casting stunts - Quentin Tarantino, Ethan Hawke, Christian Slater, etc. But then, I've loved having Terry O'Quinn (He'll always be Reilly to me!), and seeing Tracey Middendorf again was a treat. That woman deserves some really great roles; she is breathtaking.

My one major frustration is the increasing over-the-top ridiculous sexual stuff. The bondage club, the lingere strut, the sex scenes... I don't watch TV for this stuff. And frankly, the excessive violence is starting to get to me too. I'm not sure how many more torture scenes I can sit through.

That season 2 cliffhanger will bring me back, though. But if they wrap it up as quickly as they did the big shocker at the end of season 1, I'm going to be rather disappointed.

I watched M&C a while and while I thought it was okay, I can't say I loved it.

So far, there's been three seasons of Alias, the first two are out on DVD and S3 is coming out DVD on september 7th I believe. S4 will not be starting until january though.
I've got both the seasons on DVD and I gotta say they're great. I definately plan to get S3 aswell. :)
Well, IMO it was awesome seeing Quentin Tarantino on Alias. :) I can't say I cared much for Christian Slater though. And you're right, Tracy Middendorf is great.
Well IMO the start of S3 was done well, at least from the resolving the cliffhanger from S2 POV. There were some eps that some people thought were weak, but I have to say I very much enjoyed all of S3. I might not have been the best, partly due to some cast changes, but still I liked it. So hopefully you won't be disappointed. :)

Yay! :) I just got an e-mail from amazon.ca saying they sent me Tales of the Dominion War. For those who don't know, it's an anthology with...about 10 short stories, edited by KRAD. :)

I finally broke down yesterday and added the SEs of Treks V and VI to my collection, along with Once Upon a Time in the West and the original Manchurian Candidate. Now I have all the TOS movies), but I was a little disappointed to see that there wasn't a booklet in my copy of VI. :(

Oh well, I guess I don't really need to have a list of the chapter stops.

Hey, I got a question about Babylon 5. I asked SB, but she couldn't remember...

Is there any significance to the colour of the jump points? I was watching a few episodes earlier, and sometimes it was yellow, and other times, it was blue.

Congrats on getting the movies. And if it makes you feel better, most people (including me) didn't get the booklet with ST VI either.

Not to my knowledge. :)

^ I've never heard of any significance to the jumpgate colors either. In fact, I'd never even noticed before, to be honest. And I'm certain there is nothing about it in the show...

Well, I just watched I, Robot and I have to say, I absolutely loved it. :D That movie kicked some serious ass. :D I'm not gonna go into details in here, cos I don't wanna spoil anyone, but let's just say it was nice watching a summer blockbuster where you do NOT have to leave your brain at the door. :) I thought the story was good, the effects kicked ass, Will Smith was great as always and Bridget Moynahan did a great job. So yeah, anyone that hasn't seen the movie yet, I have to strongly recommend it. :)

^Thanks for the good report, BigFoot! I've heard some negative & some positive reviews. In most cases, I ignore critics and watch for myself. But it's nice to see some solid positive comments about it. I'll probably see it this weekend.

Me too. Waste of 2 hrs (maybe more).

:) No problem. Well, I've gone through the I, Robot review thread in SFF and it'd say most people seem to like it.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, I just watched the last two episodes of S5 of The West Wing and wow, was that great. :) I really cannot wait to see what'll happen next year.

Well, at least I, Robot is getting SOME good reviews over in SFF! That in itself is pretty encouraging, cus that is normally a tough crowd!

I will prolly go and see it...but I haven't decided when yet!

^ Well, you won't know *completely* what is going on until the two part episode War Without End, which is toward the end of season 3.

The main things you have to remember at this point, are the Babylon Squared plot points concerning Zathrus and Sinclair. Don't even worry about the person in the space suit. That will all make alot more sense later.

I'm not gonna spoil you, cus in this particular instance, it would be SOOOOOO unfair. But if I was you, I might watch Babylon Squared again, right before I watched War Without End during season 3.

That's all I'm sayin. :D

^ Yeah, watching Babylon Squared before War Without End is definately a good idea. Though, the 'previously on' in War Without End pretty much recaps Babylon Squared (to a tiny degree lol).
